MUSIC & PODCASTS

Here I want to include some of my favorite playlists, I have gotten lots of questions about what types of music I listen to, so here ya go:

Music

Mental Health Positivity - ALL POSITIVITY AND SONGS TO MAKE YOU FEEL OKAY (not better, just okay)

Study LoFi Beats - These are all no words just chill beats and cool vibey songs.

Literally, All My Songs - Title says it, it is all of my songs.

HeeBeeGeeBee Songs - These are all songs that I sing and get so excited that I get out of breath and just start uncontrollably laughing. Highly recommend making a playlist like this for yourself with your HeeBeeGeeBee songs.

Podcasts

Short - Walk to class, Get ready in the morning/night, short drive - 10-20 mins

The Science Side of Happiness -

This podcast is hosted by a psychology professor from the University of Berkley. He interviews people who try out their science-based happiness practices. There are over 60 on their website - here - that are all based on studies done by scientists around the world. The first half of the episode is the host interviewing a person who tried one of the practices, and then a scientist explaining how it works.

Life Kit

This is an NPR podcast with 10-20 min episodes (perfect for walking to class). It focuses on little things in our lives, and it breaks everything down so you can be successful. Some include; How journaling can work for youEating healthy without overspending, & Saying 'no' to people pleasing

Short Wave -

This is a podcast that I haven't listened to as much, but it is an NPR podcast, that just goes into detail in a short episode about things that are happening in our world around us today.

Long- Drive, work on a project, clean your room - 45-70 mins

The Hilarious World of Depression -

This podcast is all about making conversation around mental health. In a healthy and funny way. The host interviews different comedians and somewhat famous people and talks about all different types of mental illness. There is an episode on pretty much every mental illness. This is one of my favorite podcasts, it is how I finally learned the wording to describe my mental illness. It is very very helpful and makes you feel like you aren't the only one who feels a certain way.

Throughline -

This is an NPR podcast, that focuses on very educational topics going on in our world. Some include; mass incarceration, electoral college, anything politics, American Police, zombies, the moon, Puerto Rico, and littering. There are so many and this is such a good educational podcast.

Hidden Brain -

This is another NPR podcast (hehe I really like NPR) This is a really good podcast for education but compared to the other one it goes more in-depth to topics that have a lot of debate around them. Some include; not at the dinner tablecreating God (my FAVORITE), and Why no one feels rich

You're Wrong About -

This is a podcast hosted by two journalists that reteach topics we learned wrong in history class. They talk about topics like the electoral college, the Stonewall Riots, and Princess Diana. They approach the episodes in a comfortable and funny way, not a sit down listen and educate yourself.

Enjoy - Stay Crafty,
